For customers that trade business to business we can create two types of web store; a public webstore where trade prices are only displayed once the visitor has logged in, and a private webstore where the entire store is behind a secure distributor login. Secure portals can also be created for other purposes, for example document sharing or for your online customer service helpdesk.
- A public webstore. Your web store would be publicly accessible to the wider world, but until a website visitor logs in RRP prices are displayed. Once an approved distributor has logged in through a secure portal, trade prices can be displayed, respecting any customer-specific special pricing set up in your accounting system.
- A private webstore. Your webstore is only accessible after the website visitor has logged in through a secure portal.
Other uses for secure client portals…
Secure portals can also be used to share documents securely, or limit access to an online helpdesk.
